A fourth unknown suspect is still being sought. On the afternoon of March 3, 2024, members of Troop A, Indiana were dispatched to investigate the passing of counterfeit US $100 bills at several businesses in White Township. While canvassing the area, troopers developed information and subsequently located and apprehended three adult male suspects. Charges are pending against all three suspects. A fourth unknown suspect is described as a white, Hispanic male believed to be approximately 19-20 years of age with medium-length dark hair. He was observed on surveillance video at Aldi (2910 Oakland Avenue) wearing glasses, a blue Calvin Klein sweatshirt, blue sweatpants, and dark-colored shoes. This is a scam. “DHS will never ask for personal information in an unsolicited email, text message, or phone call. If someone is claiming to be from or affiliated with the Department and they are asking you for your personal information, it is a scam,” said DHS Secretary Val Arkoosh. “Please do not fall victim to identity theft. If you ever receive a suspicious call or text asking you for information about your benefits or for your financial information, please inform the DHS fraud tip line immediately so the proper authorities can investigate.” Please report any texts or calls about DHS benefits that seem suspicious by calling the DHS fraud tip line at 1-844-DHS-TIPS (1-844-347-8477). DHS does send informational text messages and phone calls to people who receive SNAP, Medicaid, and other benefits from the number 1-833-648-1964. PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE2+ weeks agoAgencyTroopers Searching for Missing Blairsville-Area Woman PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE NEWS FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE March 8, 2024 Troopers Searching for Missing Blairsville-Area Woman Burrell Township, PA – Troopers are searching for a missing Blairsville-area woman believed to be homeless and possibly living in the Pittsburgh area of Allegheny County. Laura Ellen Ragano, 54, was reported missing yesterday by a friend. Ragano was reported to have left her residence at 66 Barrondale Road in Burrell Township, Indiana County on December 24, 2023 and has not since returned. Ragano is described as a white, non-Hispanic female, 5’5” tall and 170 lbs. with green eyes and brown hair. She was last seen wearing black leggings. Ragano was last known to be operating her white Cadillac Deville sedan bearing Florida registration 37DNNM. The vehicle, which has not been located, is equipped with a light beige-colored soft top. She was last seen on December 24, 2023 when she left her Burrell Township residence and her Cadillac was observed traveling toward Pittsburgh from Blairsville later that day. Ragano is also known to have ties to Florida and has a residence in Tamarac, Florida. Anyone with information concerning her whereabouts is asked to immediately contact Tpr.
